The Bride Room

Yesterday I got the pleasure of shooting at THE BRIDE ROOM {2209 Bandywood Drive} in Nashville. My second year wedding anniversary is coming up on Tuesday and it made me want to plan all over again. REALLY! The gowns are amazing.

Penn Cove and Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

We are up on Whidbey Island in Washington State where I spent my summers as a child. My folks still have a cabin up here and I try and fly home as much as humanly possible to relax on the beach and get away from the Nashville heat.

Mom, Gregg, Parker and I spent an entire day driving around the island. First stop. Greenbank Farm. We bought a pie. Walked around the grounds and enjoyed every minute.

Then we drove up to Coupeville and had an amazing lunch at the knead and feed bakery. As you can tell from the images, parker did not like any of her pie. Chalkboard Soup of the day...CLAM CHOWDER. I ordered a large bowl and split a turkey and cranberry sandwich on whole wheat with mom. Yum!

What a fun day. My favorite place in the world.

Margot Cafe

Tonight I was lucky to shoot some amazing dishes at Margot Cafe in East Nashville. Kate and I drooled over the yummy food as Margot brought everything to the table. A grilled whole yellowtail snapper, fried zucchini with fresh salsa and aioli and a watermelon and mixed greens salad to die for. I love food.

pocketwizard wizard

This is my very first time blogging. I am very excited to start this. It will be challenging for me to stay with it...but I am always up for a challenge. Here we go...

Tonight I took my new PocketWizards out of the box. If you are wondering what in the world I am talking about...well it's a thing I stick on my camera and another thing I stick on my flash and they talk to each other. Yes they talk to each other and I can trigger my flash and be free of cords. Yeah! Anyway, I am loving each new piece of photo equipment I get. I have a shoot at Margot Cafe in East Nashville tomorrow so I wanted to test it out tonight and make sure everything synced properly. Here are some shots I took of gregg and parker. They always make lovely models.
